It is the year after the dark lord fell; the world is in chaos, but it seems to be a lot better off without Voldemort.
Of course, there are the few that believe he isn't gone, as last time--waiting for the right moment to show himself and take power again.
Some people never really die.
Although it seems to most that there will finally be peace in the magical world, this is not the case.
The Death Eaters have kept together, fighting to gain power and ultimately control all of the non-purebloods, creating havoc and causing problems for the Order.
At least Voldemort is gone; it is obviously the dawn of a new era.
