Orla Quirke boasts a good 3/4s pureblood; all of her grandparents were witches and wizards, except her grandmother Hilda "Hilly" Collins. Both of her parents attended Hogwarts, both Ravenclaws with house pride. Her father moved on to work for the daily prophet, her mother for Witch Weekly. She was brought up as an only child in a journalists' home; a young girl who craved knowledge. It was obvious by the time that she entered Hogwarts that she would be Ravenclaw, and was pleasantly unsurprised when the oldy tatty hat told her the news.
